Auto Top-up
Auto top-up automatically adds funds to your account when your balance falls below a set threshold, ensuring your calls and campaigns never stop unexpectedly.
How It Works
- Your balance drops below the threshold you set
- Auto top-up triggers immediately
- Your saved card is charged for the refill amount
- Balance is updated automatically
Setting Up Auto Top-up
Prerequisites
- [ ] Owner role (only Owners can configure)
- [ ] Valid payment method saved in Stripe
- [ ] Decide on threshold and refill amounts
Step-by-Step Setup
- Go to Settings → Billing
- Find the Auto-Fill section
- Toggle Enable Auto Top-up
- Configure:
| Setting | Description | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| Threshold | Balance level that triggers a refill | Enough to cover a few hours of usage |
| Refill Amount | How much to add when triggered ($10–$10,000) | Enough to cover a campaign or day's usage |
- Ensure a payment method is saved
- Click Save Settings
Configuration Options
Threshold Amount
When your balance falls below this amount, auto top-up triggers.
Set the threshold high enough that you won't run out of balance between the trigger and when the payment completes.
Refill Amount
How much to add when triggered. Set this high enough to cover your typical usage between top-ups.
Payment Method
Manage your saved card:
- Click Payment Methods in billing settings
- Add or update your card via the Stripe portal
- The same card is used for manual top-ups and auto top-ups
When Auto Top-up Triggers
Auto top-up activates when:
- Balance falls below your threshold, and
- Auto top-up is enabled, and
- A valid payment method exists
An idempotency check prevents duplicate charges if the balance drops and recovers rapidly.
