Creating Agents
AI agents in Voxifi are created from catalog templates — pre-built designs for common use cases. You pick the right template, fill in your details, and the agent is ready to make calls.
Step 1: Open AI Agents
- Click AI Agents in the sidebar
- Click Add AI Agent
You'll see the catalog — a grid of available agent templates. Each card shows the template name, type (assistant or workflow), and a short description of what it's designed to do.
Plan limits
If you've reached your plan's agent limit, the catalog will show a "Limit Reached" message. You'll need to delete an existing agent or upgrade your plan before creating a new one.
Step 2: Choose a Template
Click the template that best matches your use case. If you're not sure, pick the closest match — you can always adjust the configuration after creation.
Step 3: Configure the Agent
Once you've selected a template, a configuration form appears. Fill in:
Name (required) An internal name to identify this agent — e.g. "Sales Qualifier" or "Appointment Reminder AU". This is only visible to your team.
Configuration Variables Each template has variables that personalise the agent's behaviour — things like your business name, services offered, agent persona, or contact details. Required variables are marked with an asterisk.
Variables are pre-filled from your organisation's assistant defaults where possible. You can edit them here to override the defaults for this specific agent.
Appointment Booking (optional) If this agent will book appointments, connect it to your calendar here. Choose from Google Calendar, Calendly, or Cal.com — whichever you've connected under Integrations.
When a booking integration is selected, two additional fields appear:
- Timezone — The timezone for date and time references in the agent's conversation
- Business Hours — The hours during which appointments can be booked (e.g. "Monday–Friday 9am–5pm")
If you select Google Calendar, you can also set a default Appointment Duration (in minutes).
Attach Files (optional) Attach knowledge files to give the agent access to specific information — product details, pricing, FAQs, policies. Files must be uploaded to Files first, then selected here.
Step 4: Create
Click Create. The agent will be created and you'll be returned to the AI Agents list.
Editing an Agent
To change an agent after creation:
- Go to AI Agents
- Click the agent's name or the edit icon
- Update any of the fields — variables, booking integration, files, language, etc.
- A save bar appears at the bottom when you have unsaved changes — click Save to apply them
Deleting an Agent
From the AI Agents list, open the ⋮ menu on any agent card and select Delete. If the agent is assigned to any active campaigns, you'll be shown a warning before confirming.
Deleted agents can be restored from the same menu.
Deleting affects campaigns
Deleting an agent that is part of a running campaign will pause that campaign. You'll see the impact listed before you confirm the deletion.
