File Attachments
Attach files to your AI agents so they can reference specific information during calls — product details, pricing, FAQs, policies, or anything else the agent might need to answer questions accurately.

How to Attach Files to an Agent
Files must be uploaded to the Files section before they can be attached to an agent.
Step 1: Upload the file
- Click Files in the sidebar
- Click Upload File and select your file
- Wait for the upload to complete
Step 2: Attach to the agent
- Go to AI Agents and open the agent you want to update
- Scroll to the Attach Files section
- Use the file picker to search for and select the files you want to attach
- Save your changes using the save bar at the bottom of the page
Removing a File from an Agent
- Open the agent in AI Agents
- Find the file in the Attach Files section and deselect it
- Save your changes
Deleting from Files
Deleting a file from the Files section permanently removes it from all agents that are using it. Remove the file from agents before deleting it if you want to preserve the agents' other settings.
Tips for Good Knowledge Files
Be specific. Files with focused, relevant content work better than long documents with lots of irrelevant material.
Use clear structure. Headings, short paragraphs, and Q&A format make it easier for the agent to find and use the right information.
Keep them current. If pricing or policy changes, update the files — the agent will use whatever is currently attached.
Test after attaching. Make a test call and ask a question that should be answered from the file to verify it's working.
Troubleshooting
Agent isn't using file content Verify the file is actually attached and saved to the agent. Also confirm the file format is supported and the content is clearly written — dense or poorly formatted text can be harder for the agent to reference accurately.
Upload fails Check the file size is under 50MB and the file extension is in the supported list above.
